RM6 Camp 2016

On the 29th of November we headed to Murchison for camp and we were there until Friday and when we got there we put up the our tent and it was a 6 person tent. I was in the tent with Blake, Damon, Chris, Cameron and Mr Davey. After that we got in the car and went to the Murchison museum and Judy Peacock came out of the museum and talked to us about the Murchison earthquake. Then the next day we went to the swing bridge walk and the comet line. I went across and said to myself WOW that is really high and I was at least 115 Meters high and when I got off I was amazed with where the zip line was. It was going over the river under the bridge and the zip line was higher than the bridge. Then it was my turn and I sat on the front. The next day we went rafting down the Buller gorge and I nearly fell out and into the gorge but Cameron saved me. It was really fun. The next day we packed up and went to the boat ramp for jet boating and it was really fun. I was in the last jet boat that had students in it and we done donuts and sharp turns. After us the adults went on the jet boat it looked really fun. Then we went to Reefton for fish 'n' chips. Then we went to school and I waited for the bus.          

English So Far

The SEXY paragraph structure has made my stories a lot easier and makes me write stories faster and they also make a lot more sense. Reading and free writing at the start of the our English lessons makes me feel more positive about my work and My writing and I feel more on task in English to start the lesson with reading and free writing. Feel more positive about knowing I am improving my reading and writing.

Pet Day

On the 18th October, Awahono school had a pet day where everyone brought a pet to school. I brought a calf and sat it at the end of the field  with all the other calves, at the end of the day we had a prize giving sadly I didn't get a prize, but i got a participation certificate. :)

Two truths One lie

Welcome To My Blog

Hello my name is Flynn and I'm a year 8, my favorite color is green and I am from Awahono school. I came all the way from Gore, South land and I play lots of sports such as rugby, rugby league, soccer, basket ball, soft ball and touch, but my favorite sport is rugby league. My favorite school subject is maths and I have learnt the formula for the area of curtain shapes such as a parallelogram, square and a rectangle. I have also learnt what all the different types of triangles there are, right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle, scalene, equilateral and isosceles. We also learnt what angles there are such as straight, right, acute and obtuse.
